Respect for nature, environmental responsibility and sustainable tourism

sustainability commitments
Preserving and respecting nature
At La Coudraie, respect for the environment is at the heart of everything we do. Every day, we take practical steps to minimise our impact and preserve our natural surroundings.
We prioritise local partnerships by working with local suppliers, mainly in Seine-et-Marne and the surrounding area. This enables us to support the local economy, reduce transport distances and ensure high-quality products and services.
Managing waste responsibly
Our kitchen waste is composted and used to maintain our green spaces. We prioritise eco-friendly and biodegradable cleaning and hygiene products.
Our linen is sent to a local laundry service committed to environmentally friendly practices. In our restaurants and communal areas, we use sustainable crockery and glassware, and have replaced single-use plastic bottles with jugs of filtered water.
We also encourage our guests to sort their waste: please place packaging, bottles and newspapers in the bins provided for this purpose, non-recyclable waste in the bathroom bins, and used batteries at reception.
Reducing our energy consumption
La Coudraie optimises energy use throughout the venue. Our function rooms benefit from natural light thanks to large windows, and all our buildings are fitted with energy-efficient LED lighting.
We adjust the heating and air conditioning according to how busy the rooms are.
In your room, you can also adjust the temperature and fan speed of the air conditioning using the wall-mounted control panel. Should you need any assistance, our reception team is here to help.
Conserving water, naturally
Bed linen and towels are changed every three days, or as often as you like. If you would like them changed more frequently, simply ask at reception.
In everyday life, a few simple steps can make a difference: turning off the tap whilst brushing your teeth, and opting for shorter showers.
Every extra minute in the shower uses around 10 litres of water. Toilets are for toilet paper only; any other waste may affect the proper functioning of the sewage treatment plant. Please do not hesitate to report any leaks or faults so that we can deal with them promptly.
Caring for flora and fauna
Since 2019, we have planted several trees and developed our green spaces with a focus on promoting biodiversity. Watering is carried out using rainwater harvesting systems, and our mowing practices are varied to protect the local flora.
These initiatives help to protect the environment whilst creating a pleasant setting for our visitors.
Your role in a sustainable holiday
La Coudraie’s approach to sustainability is, above all, collaborative. We encourage our guests to adopt simple habits: turning off lights, using heating and air conditioning sparingly, sorting waste and using water responsibly.
We are also open to your ideas and suggestions for further improving our practices.
